abw2odt software package provides AbiWord to OpenDocument converter, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install abw2odt
abw2odt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the abw2odt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep abw2odt *
You will get with abw2odt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
